  • Dog Vaccinations | Puppy Vaccinations | Boundary Vets

As a dog owner, it is important to understand the need for dog vaccinations throughout their lives. This is part and parcel of their healthcare regime, keeping them protected from diseases that can harm their health and cause longer-term medical conditions.

At Boundary Vets, we understand that dog vaccinations are a vital part of their annual healthcare which is why we offer vaccinations from 8 weeks onwards. Puppies will receive their first and second vaccinations and dogs then receive a booster on an annual basis.

You can find out more about dog vaccinations online.

Vaccinate Your Puppy

Puppies can be vaccinated from 8 weeks onwards, ensuring that they are immunised against disease as early as possible.

The primary vaccination allows puppies to overcome the remaining anti-body protection from their mothers. Secondary vaccinations are then given no later than 4 weeks after the first vaccine to allow for early socialisation.

It is important to vaccinate your puppy from 8 weeks in order to keep them protected throughout their lives. This can also give protection to other dogs and humans around, ensuring that your puppy is not transmitting any disease that could be fatal.

The Importance of Puppy Vaccinations Onwards

Not only is it an important part of your puppy’s healthcare regime to get them vaccinated on an annual basis, but it is important throughout their lives, helping to keep your vets’ costs as low as possible.

Vaccinations are designed to give protection against harmful diseases that can cause long-term health problems or may even be fatal. Without vaccinations, this could lead to your puppy, or dog as they grow, becoming seriously ill, requiring regular treatment, increasing your veterinary costs.

Vaccinations can give you as the dog owner peace of mind, knowing that your dog is covered when it comes to harmful diseases.
